‘Nyanya Bomber’ Ogwuche Arrives... To Answer For Abuja Blasts That Killed 94 Nigerians

Ogwuche, a Islamic Student who fled to Sudan after masterminding the twin blasts that killed nearly 100 Nigerians in Nyanya, Abuja, has been handed over to face justice in Nigeria

It is justice time as the International Police Organization (INTERPOL) yesterday handed over a most wanted student-terrorist, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, to Nigeria's security agencies.

At the airport to receive the terrorist were the spokespersons of the police, ACP Frank Mba, Department of State Services (DSS), Marilyn Ogar, Defence Headquarters, Major General, Chris Olukolade and Mike Omeri, Coordinator, National Information Centre.

Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche is a student of Arabic Language at the International University of Africa, Sudan, and is allegedly mastermind of the deadly Nyanya twin bomb blast that killed nearly 100 Nigerians and left scores physically damaged for life.

The April 14 blast killed about 75 people while another 19 people died in the second blast on May 1

The British born terrorist is an indigene of Orokam, Ogbadibo LGA, Benue State, Nigeria.

He was declared wanted by the Nigerian government on May 15 and arrested by INTERPOL in Sudan on an international warrant.

According to, ACP Mba Ogwuche had hired lawyers to resist his extradition to Nigeria, making the process a difficult one.

The extradition only became possible after "tortuous legal and diplomatic processes between Nigeria and the Republic of Sudan,” Mbah said in a statement.

Unpatriotic Citizen

Ogwuche, the son of a retired Nigerian Army colonel, deserted the Nigerian Army in 2006, after serving in the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Army at Child Avenue, Arakan Barracks, Lagos, between 2001 and 2006.

He was also once arrested in 2011.

Giant African Snails, Banned in U.S., Seized at Los Angeles Airport

It's not every day that someone ships 35 pounds of snails by air, but inspectors at Los Angeles International Airport found exactly that earlier this month when they intercepted a shipment from Africa.
Prohibited in the U.S., the snails – 67 in all – arrived from Nigeria on July 1 and were being sent to someone in San Dimas, California, according to Lee Harty, a spokeswoman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
They were confiscated that day and a sample was sent the next day to Washington, D.C., where a federal mollusk specialist identified them as a banned species in this country.
A popular delicacy in West Africa, the mollusks are among the largest land snails in the world and can grow to be up to 8 inches long. They are native to Africa and can live for up to 10 years.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture incinerated the snails after they were inspected, Harty said. The animals are prohibited in the U.S. because they can carry parasites that are harmful to humans, including one that can lead to meningitis.

The snails are also agricultural pests, said Maveeda Mirza, the CBP program manager for agriculture.
"These snails are seriously harmful to local plants because they will eat any kind of crop they can get to," Mirza said.
The person the snails were destined for is not expected to face any penalties, Mirza said. She said authorities are investigating why a single person would want so many snails.
"We're investigating what happened, but it doesn't seem like there was smuggling involved. When someone doesn't know a commodity is prohibited under USDA regulations there is usually no punishment," she said.
Although the agency has found one or two snails that may have accidentally gotten into a traveler's luggage in Los Angeles, this is the first time that they have confiscated the snails in such a large quantity, Mirza said.

Deitrick Haddon’s Ex-Wife Says He Impregnated Current Wife While He Was Still Married To Her: ‘Nobody’s Stupid’

A few years ago, the gospel music world was shocked to learn that Deitrick Haddon and his wife of 15 years, Damita, had quietly divorced and that Deitrick was expecting a child with his current wife, Domonique. Most folks assumed that there was some funny business going on behind the scenes and that there was a lot more to the story. Now, Damita, who has been rather quiet regarding the split, is speaking out. For starters, the recently remarried gospel singer says that her ex-husband definitely impregnated his current wife, Domonique, while they were still married. According to Damita, Deitrick picked up and left her almost immediately after the death of her mother. “Nobody’s stupid,” Damita told Path MEGAzine of Deitrick’s questionable timeline of events. “Especially people who have been married before or been in relationships. The process of divorce takes time. If I was going through anything in our marriage and nothing was wrong in our marriage—I’m just putting that out there—we we’re bickering there was no infidelity. We were happily and successfully pastoring in Detroit.” “He left in the Month of June, around the BET Celebration of Gospel, I believe,” she added. “He left two days after I buried my mom. Until that day, what ever issues or arguments or beef that we had like marriages do, had been squashed after my mom died. I wasn’t under the impression that he was going anywhere but two days after I buried my mom he left. Next thing I know there’s somebody pregnant. That just doesn’t add up, you don’t sleep with a random person and get her pregnant.” Damita went on to speculate that because of the timeline, she has no choice but to believe that Deitrick had been carrying on an affair with Domonique way before he decided to leave. “I had been married for 15 years and I don’t know who she is so obviously there was something going on. Anybody’s that been married, male or female—and you don’t know this other person, then obviously there was something going on while you were married—this was a strange young girl, it doesn’t add up when you do the math.” While Deitrick initially told his congregation that there was no infidelity on his part and that he and Damita were separated, the “No Turning Back” singer says his stories simply did not add up. “As a woman, we have intuition. I was trying to figure out I said ‘what would make a man leave all this; leave his church, leave his wife?’ I didn’t know at that time but something in me said ‘somebody’s pregnant.’ In December of 2011, I got the confirmation that somebody was pregnant. That just does not happen in the amount of time. But be that as it may, I knew it was the pressure of him knowing that he made this mistake and he didn’t know how to handle it. So the best thing to do is to retreat and to run and to hide. To give into the shame and embarrassment of what had happened and the best thing to do is to throw me under the bus because he’s getting all the flack for it.” Thankfully, Damita’s story does come with a happy ending. Earlier this year, she married photographer Reuben Chandler.
